Gail Collins is a versatile author. She does not limit herself to just government or pop culture, but branches out to include many different topics and appeal to many different audiences. Throughout this Follow the Columnist project, I noticed that in the earlier articles, Collin's tone was sarcastic and funny, however, over time it became serious and mellow in comparison. Her ideals are similar to mine as she is liberal and is an advocate of women's rights. As an Op-Ed author, she takes a realist role and provides multiple views on each topic, while mostly focusing on her own liberal point of view.
